Hobbs Artist Fundraiser
Hobbs Art sale: We are so honored that Hobbs the artist is fundraising for us. They were featured in the Heart and Hustle Expressions in Black Series with us and we are huge fans of their art work. Check out their upcoming art sale and raffle below!
Hobbs Waters, a local teen artist, is having an art blow out sale because he is looking to move the work so he can create more space for this new art series that he is working on. He has listed all of the on-hand art that he has and is discounting the gallery price 50-70% off. The pieces that are for sale are larger scale abstract pieces. He has two categories of art work, his fluid art and his mixed media abstract art. The topics that Hobbs art ranges from are urban renewal to Black happiness. These are great statement pieces that are perfect to put in the common area of your home or any space really. If there are any art pieces that you see that interest you, come to Hobbs' art sale at Helen Rose Skincare Co. located on 212 SE Alder St. The art sale is happening November 13th and 14th from noon to 5PM. This is a great opportunity to buy one of Hobbs' paintings. Please feel free to invite friends and family, Helen Rose Skincare Co. is taking COVID-19 safety precautions to ensure that you stay safe. Groups of a limited number of people are going to be let into the shop at select times, you have to register in advance, that can be done online here.
Last year in an Episode he was featured in for the Expressions in Black series Hobbs created an 8 x 5 foot abstract painting of an anatomically correct heart. He made an in-kind donation to Equitable Giving Circle ( EGC ), a local non-profit located here in Portland Oregon doing food and housing justice for the BIPOC community. Hobbs is taking this opportunity to raffle this painting off to raise money for EGC. His goal is to raise a minimum of $1,000. He is selling raffle tickets for $20 a piece and they can be purchased online by clicking here. This is a steal since the painting is valued at about $4,000. Tickets are on sale through the end of the art blow out sale.
